JOIN WATTERS CREEK TO SHOW APPRECIATION FOR U.S. TROOPS
Join Watters Creek to Show Appreciation for U.S. Troops
Write a Note of Thanks for one of 100 Trees to be Distributed to Military Members and Their Families
Allen, Texas (Dec. 3, 2014) – Join Watters Creek on Dec. 5 – 6, 2014, and send a note of appreciation to our U.S. military and their families.
Watters Creek, in partnership with FedEx Freight and the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation, is honoring members of the U.S. Armed Forces by providing 100 Christmas trees to be distributed to U.S. service members and their families. The public is invited to participate by visiting the Trees for Troops tent to write a note of appreciation that will be attached to a Christmas tree and received by a military member or family. The Trees for Troops tent will be located next to Frogg Coffee Bar & Creperie for two days only on Dec. 5 and 6, 2014 from 12 – 8 p.m.
“We want to be sure that our troops and their families know how much we appreciate their sacrifice and service to our country. All trees are grown on an American farm and express shipped to arrive fresh and green, just in time for Christmas,” said Debra Martinez, marketing director for Watters Creek. “This year Trees for Troops hopes to deliver more than 17,000 trees in total with a majority of those going to families stationed at military installations across the U.S. The deliveries will take place at more than 60 military bases covering every branch of the armed services.”
“Watters Creek is so pleased to be able to do our small part and invite our guests to participate by writing a simple note of thanks to our troops, which will be delivered with the trees.”
The trees from Watters Creek will be going to the troops and their families in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Anyone wanting to participate is invited to stop by the Trees for Troops tent on Dec. 5 or 6 from 12 – 8 p.m. at Watters Creek. There is no cost to provide a note of appreciation.
